About Us

Established in 2003

The Light of Eternal Agape is a protestant church. Pastor Paul Akimoto was led by God to plant a church. It was founded as the “Kokubunji Christian Center” in April 1984 in Kokubunji City, Tokyo, Japan. Our church was started with Christ as the head of the church and as Chief Pastor.

In the beginning Pastor Paul Akimoto was told by God to live by the principle of hearing and obeying the Lord for a plan of our church. God also showed Pastor Paul Akimoto that daughter churches were going to be planted throughout the country and that we would be involved in overseas mission work.

In June 2002, we moved to Suginami Ward, Tokyo, and soon after that, the name of the church was given by God TLEA Tokyo Antioch Church.

In August 2003 TLEA Denver Church was established.

The Light of Eternal Agape is a Protestant charismatic church in Denver, Colorado. We believe that the Bible is the only unmistakable Word of God, the only standard of faith. We recognize the chief pastor is Jesus Christ, who is the head of the church, and we focus on listening to and obeying God based on the Bible and prayer. We acknowledge that the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Bible are still in operation in the church. In addition, the Belief in the New Testament Church of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers is believed. We are committed in continuing their work.

In the revival that has begun to occur, the number, scale, and work of Japanese churches will change drastically. There will be churches in Japan with thousands, tens of thousands, and hundreds of thousands of believers. We are also shown that level of work has guided our preparation. The Light of Eternal Agape has also been shown to be the church called for the work of the end time and revival, with the establishment of more than 90 mission bureaus around the world. I expect God to greatly open up the work for the general public through the work of publishing, music, and the Internet.
